Product Details

The GTO started as a trim option since GM wasn't ready to commit to a car away from the mpg/family thinking….but then the high sales numbers forced them to make the GTO in to its own model. In 1968, GM redesigned it's A-body line with more curvaceous, semi-fastback styling. The front from the 2nd generation looks very different with side by side headlights and the “Endura” front bumper (that they famously advertised by hitting with a hammer to no effect). The goat was full on muscle and many credit the GTO for starting the muscle car craze. With just about every part or piece renovated, restored and repaired, this fine looking ride is also a fine riding example of the classic American muscle car! With a full frame-off restoration completed prior to its current owner, this vehicle shows very well and comes with great documentation including a build sheet and owner manual. Recently completed work includes new floor pans, a fresh tune up and flush of all fluids, a mild cam was added, brakes, struts and suspension overhauled, the engine and transmission had a full rebuild completed, this car is easier to list things not done to it than what was! With its excellent dark brown metallic exterior, sharp PMD painted wheels, beautiful lines and properly fitting door, this is a great deal with little left to the imagination! The interior is just as well with its excellent dark saddle interior standing tall, the dash is complete with an original looking radio, the floors, headliner, trim and badging all as it should be making this a comfortable ride inside for its next lucky owner.
