Product Details

Government regulations started killing muscle cars in the 1970's left and right. However, Pontiac kept producing the Firebird Trans-am at the brink of what was allowed (with perhaps some fudging of some horsepower numbers). Of course, Smokey and the Bandit made the late 70's models highly desired iconic pieces of cultural automotive history that are incredibly easy to recognize. This sharp '79 Firebird Trans Am in Nocturne Blue was last purchased in 2000 and promptly restored with stock specifications in mind. It was sold new at the Delehanty Pontiac Company in Flushing, Michigan, and we hold PHS documents showing the window sticker and build sheet. It's powered by the correct 400ci V8 engine and 4-speed manual transmission. This is a rarely found 4-speed car that makes it extra fun to be the driver behind the vintage muscle. The L78 400ci V8 was a special order and this car also features the Special Performance Package that includes power front & disc brakes and the Special Handling Package This is an original air conditioning car, but it is not currently hooked up. This beast also features bucket seats, console shift, aftermarket cruise control, power windows, original radio, hood scoop, and more! This car is inside, outside, and check out the underneath pictures! It's hard not to like one of the most recognizable body styles in a really fun to drive manual.
