Just out of a private collection, this 1965 Mustang fastback was treated to a no expense spared, rotisserie restoration and modification centered around style, power and modern drivability. Ron's Restoration, of Lisbon, North Dakota was contracted for the task. Build and award winner. After two years, over 1000 man hours, and a whole lot of money, the final product is stunning. The car is powered by a completely rebuilt and fortified 351 Cleveland that is fed by a 750 CFM Dual Feed carburetor mounted on a Blue Thunder Dual Plane intake. The power is transferred via a fortified Top Loader 4 speed transmission and delivered to a modern 8.8 axle with 3.55 ratio Posi Differential. Coil over suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes and Heits Power Rack-n-Pinion steering really create and excellent handling situation for this powerful machine. Other mechanical highlights include: Hurst Shifter, Hi-torque starter, Sanderson Ceramic Coated Headers dumping into a throaty 2 ½ inch Magnaflow exhaust, Aluminum Radiator with Dual Fans, External Oil Sump System, Modified Oil Pan, Coil Over Adjustable Front Shocks, 2” Front Drop Spindles, Tubular Upper and Lower A-arms, Sub Frame Tie Connecters, and more. This 1965 Mustang Fastback has Stage Presence. The Blue Metallic Paint with Shelby Style Stripes and Trim over the Blue and White Stock Pony Interior all riding on polished Torque Thrust style wheels gives the car a look that is to die for and it draws a crowd where ever it is seen.
