Product Details

Following decades of remarkable success on the racetrack and on the sales floor with its beloved four-cylinder sports cars, MG experimented with six-cylinder power in 1967 with the release of the MGC , with was able to bridge the gap in BMC's product line created at the end of production of the ever popular Austin Healey 3000. With 145 horsepower and plenty of torque on tap, the MGC was the most powerful car MG produced during the era, even trumping the later V8 MGB of the Mid 70's. Road tests revealed a MG that was quicker in acceleration and a car that offered a much higher top speed, exceeding 120 mph. MGC production would only last three years with only a total run of about 4551 C roadsters produced. With style, power and overall class, this sharp convertible gives you the best of both worlds! From the outside this vehicle shows off well with a great set of spoked wheels, a fresher black vinyl top, all the chrome is in rather good shape and no major body damage or deterioration to be seen. The paint is a bit aged but in good driver condition and certainly not sore on the eyes. The interior is in even better condition with a good looking black seating with white piping around the edges, the dash is very original looking and in great shape, the carpet is in good shape, the vehicle is very comfortable from both sides of the cockpit. Mechanically, this vehicle is very sound and hosts what we are told is the original 6-cylinder engine and Borg Warner automatic transmission. Overall, this is a very cool, very hard to find example of a legendary speedster and holds no bounds on its enjoy-ability today or potential otherwise!
