The MGTD was the first MG target for the US market. The TD was the first model to offer left hand drive, other features include a stronger completely designed chassis, wider body, rack and pinion steering, and more stylish fenders. The TD indeed found a market inside the boarders of the U.S. and to this day are beloved by many. This TD is one of the best examples we have ever seen. It was the recipient of a complete frame off, highly detailed restoration completed in 2012. The odometer reading of 81638 is believed to be original from the date of manufacturer with approximately 125 miles since the restoration. The engine and mechanicals were completely rebuilt by All British Cars at this time using all NOS and correct remanufactured parts from the top suppliers. The car is highly presented in Deep Burgundy / Black two tone paint scheme, Biscuit interior with black carpet and new stay fast top. Some respected upgrades include disc brakes, chrome wire wheels, new radiator core and chrome grill. The hoses, brake lines, wiring, much of the hardware and fasteners have been replaced with new correct parts. All work, cosmetically and mechanically were performed at a very high caliber and all id tags are in place and appear to be original. The MG TD delivers a pure 1950s open air British driving experience. Its mechanicals are robust and mostly easy to source, which makes ownership relatively straightforward. To this day, the TD is regarded highly among British motoring enthusiasts. Highly restored examples such as this are few and far between. A must consideration for any collection.
