Chrysler. The Dodge Silver Challenger was first to be produced from 1958 to 1959 as a limited edition which inherited its name from the fact that they didn't use any other paint choice except silver. From 1969 to 1974, the first generation Dodge Challenger pony car was built using the Chrysler E Platform, sharing most of its major components with the Plymouth Barracuda. This beautiful 1970 Dodge Challenger RT wears a shimmering coat of Plum Crazy Purple and R/T stripes. The car also has a black vinyl top. It is a genuine “V code” car (440-six pack). The car was a multiple year rotisserie restoration and very meticulously put together. As you can see in the photographs, even the underside of this car is beautiful. All the chrome and bright work show very well. This Challenger appears to be numbers matching 440 with the correct six pack set up and is mated to an upgraded Tremec 5 speed with the pistol grip shifter. The original transmission is available and will go with the sale of the car. This car handles very well and operates as it should. This impressive MOPAR was built to drive and enjoy. The interior is covered in black vinyl with front bucket seats, and center console. It comes equipped with power steering, power brakes and upgraded air conditioning.
