We are pleased to offer this 1968 Buick Gran Sport 400 Convertible for consideration. The Buick line is always known for luxury, but muscle car enthusiasts never forget about the Gran Sport line. The GS 400 was made only in 1968 & 1969. This GS 400 convertible is truly a rare sight. They were powered by a gigantic 400cu in 6.6L V8 which is plenty of power. However, the comfort of the interior and the style of the body prove that this is a gentlemen's muscle car. The 1968 Buick GS 400 offered here is spent the majority of its life in the climate friendly state,of Arizona until purchased in the mid nineties by a gentleman in the state of Florida. At that time a selective style restoration was performed on this car retaining its factory sheetmetal. The car is optioned with power steering, power disc brakes, power convertible top, bucket seats, console shift automatic and rally wheels. The Buick 400 cubic inch engine has been fully rebuilt at that time to original spec at the time of restoration. Although believed to be the original engine, the factory numbers were removed from the block during the decking process of the rebuild. Mechanically, the car is outstanding and reflects the build quality that Buick built is reputation on. Since, this very usable GS 400 has been thoroughly enjoyed by two owners and is now being offered for sale with many years of future motoring ahead.
