We are pleased to offer this 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS for purchase. 1964 was the first year of production of the very popular Chevelle. The Chevelle Malibu SS was Chevy's entry in to the muscle car battle, and muscle enthusiasts then & now still hold high praise for the Chevelle. 1st generation Chevelles are always head turners. This SS runs and drives great! The car had a frame off restoration in 2008. The engine was resealed and updated in 2017. It is powered by a period correct 283 v8. Engine upgrades include: bored .60 over, Holley double pump 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, Isky cam, headers and a secondary cooling fan with temperature sensor. The engine is highly detailed with the addition of a chrome air cleaner, chrome “Chevrolet” valve covers, and chrome alternator. The car is guided through its gears by a Muncie M21 close ratio 4 speed manual transmission with a Hurst Floor shifter. The Chevelle has a Auburn 3:73 Posi 12 bolt rear end that was rebuilt in 2017. The car has Moser axles, ceramic dual exhaust, dual chamber mufflers and chrome tailpipes. The Chevelle rides on 18” Riddler rims that match the paint color and accent the car well. The car also has an aftermarket oi pressure, voltage and water temp gauge cluster, new battery and JVC CD player. This 1st generation Chevelle SS is a great muscle car, and really fun to drive. These cars will never go out of style!
