Modifications to this truck include a K&N air filter, a 180-degree thermostat, wider tires, Stampede bed rail caps, and a spray-in bed liner. GMC released the GMT800-generation Sierra for the 1999 model year with a more aerodynamic exterior design and a greater emphasis on comfort -- the changes reflected the fact that a growing number of motorists used their truck as a daily driver.
