Sometimes car manufacturers bring back a nostalgic name, but don't deliver on the modern performance that name should command. When Ford brought back the Shelby GT500 name in 2007, no such mistake was made. Ford's SVT team delivered a beast with a 5.4L supercharged V8 with an iron block and four-valve aluminum heads that provides 500 horsepower! A Tremec 6-speed gearbox routes all this power through a 3.31 limited-slip rear axle capable of mid 4 second 0-60mph time. Careful suspension tuning by Ford's engineers and a quick steering ratio make it feel surprisingly nimble through the turns, while a liberal traction control system allows for plenty of fun. This 2007 Mustang Shelby GT500 Convertible is in excellent condition with only 11,938 miles on it between 3 owners. It was sold new in Illinois at Lynch Ford and the current owner purchased it in 2011 with 5,800 miles. This beast is all stock except for an upgraded performance clutch done by MRT .
