Pleased to bring to market for only the second time in its 37 years, is this very nice and well documented VW Westy. These very sought after campers are the hot ticket these days and with the high demand for well cared for and rust free ones continually climbing in values, this is an educated purchase. The VW Westy was brought to the US market to offer a unique way to travel but still have an everyday driver vehicle for the family. Many nice items were added to prolong that weekend trip to the beach or mountains and be self-sufficient for days. This groovy bus was purchased new in June of 1974 where it was sold out of the VW dealer in Holland, Michigan – Willard Motors. It remained in the area and serviced by the selling dealer with service stamps up to June of 1978. Service records and stamps were kept and the bus logged memorable miles until changing hands to another Michigan family out of Rockford Michigan. The bus received routine Maintaince and was used sparingly. In 2008 the bus was given some desirable love and engine was rebuilt with a price tag well over $4k in receipts that included more items than just the engine. Also in that same year the transmission was rebuilt and serviced properly. Recent service was just completed as well and all new interior was installed. All new seats and upholstery, newer canvas top, carpet kit and wood floor. The options are endless with these buses and have plenty of features to keep anybody busy for months. Full wood cabinets are present along with; stool, swing table, stove, cooler, sink, pop-top table, luggage rack, tow package, tent, and many more great items. Vehicle retains the original owner's manuals, service book and dealer log. The van is in very nice shape both inside and out and is destined to be a high dollar collector vehicle. The bus is coming by…will you get on?
