Product Details

The Ford motor company introduced the Thunderbird in 1955 and continued over the course of eleven-model generation through 2005. It created a market niche that was brand new to the automotive scene and eventually was marketed and known as the personal luxury car. The fourth generation like the car we are offering here was built from 1964-1966. As before it was offered in hardtop, convertible and landau versions. The standard engine was the 390 cubic inch V8 offering 300 HP and was paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Only in 1966 was a optional 428 cubic inch V8 producing 345 HP offered for this generation. From the curb this model looks as good if not better than the day it came to the market for the first time and features its wonderful chrome wire wheels, the paint is in excellent condition and goes very well with its white top which is also in great shape and overall this vehicle was clearly well kept for by its one and only owner. The interior is a match to its top with the white leather upholstery throughout standing tall, the dash is all original with the classic gauges, badging and design all intact, the door panels, flooring and trim and chrome is all as it should be and with its power seats, original AM radio in working condition and all the nostalgia in the world, this is a real time capsule from inside to out! Included with the sale of this fine convertible is the original set of wheels, another spare set of wheels, many cool pieces of memorabilia including the original Thunderbird whisky glasses that came with them when purchased new, extra fuses and bulbs, spare oil and even the service manuals!
