When people think about muscle cars the Chevelles produced from 1968-72 jump right off the page. The Chevelle 2nd generation was the GM A-body perfect size for anything you wanted to stuff under the hood to make your ride jump off the line when commanded to do so. Chevelles came in several different variations and trim packages, but the hot SS 396 will make people stop in their tracks with respect for the performance and the timeless style. This is a completely documented 1970 SS 396 in its original paint color, Fathom Blue as it was delivered new to Ramsey Chevrolet in Bixby, Oklahoma. It came well optioned with black vinyl interior, soft-ray tinted glass, strato-bucket front seats, vinyl black roof, air conditioning, center console, 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission, power steering, cowl induction hood (which is functioning today), and SS 396 equipment package. This car was a solid southern vehicle and then it went through a full frame-off restoration in 2006 bringing the car to stunning showroom condition. At this time the engine was gone through with some upgrades including: new valves, new rocker arms, new piston rings, new electric fan, new bushings, new BBC S/S intake, new aluminum heads, new BBC Performer RPM 454, MSD ignition, new water pump, new BBC Performer manifold, and new 750 CFM carburetor. There are stock parts to be included with the sale if next buyer desires. This car is completely documented (broadcast engine code TX) with original bill of sale, window sticker, protect-o-plate, and receipts and pictures documenting the restoration.
