The Ford Thunderbird was the first 2-seat Ford since 1938 and was in direct response to the Chevrolet Corvette that was displayed at the 1953 New York Auto Show. However, as the Corvette appealed to the more sports car oriented buyer the Thunderbird was built more as a personal car. Something that was lightweight with a V8 engine, although fast enough was geared more on the driver comfort than speed. This Beautiful little first year Thunderbird is dressed in the right color and comes with the ever so hard to find factory hard-top. And as you probably know that most of these cars either came with the factory hard-top or soft-top. This car has both and the soft top is nearly new. Another great feature is the power windows and power seat. Although the radio looks period it is a brand new unit with great sound. This car is a excellent driver with no structural issues or rust anywhere. It starts, runs and drives great and gets all the looks.
