The new wrap-around rear window provided much more space behind the seats. All '78 Corvettes came with special 25th anniversary badging and it was the pace car for the 62nd Indy 500 on May 28, 1978. The stock L48 no longer currently calls this engine bay home but now lurking beneath the massive high rise hood is a 383ci stroker bored .040 to 385ci making and estimated 450hp mated to a T20 4-speed manual with Hurst shifter. Bolted to the block are an Edelbrock intake, Holly carb, Be Cool aluminum radiator, and headers with side exhaust. The car also has power steering, power brakes, front and rear discs, A/C, black torq-thrust style wheels. Included with this sale is a full binder full of receipts and documentation, the original window sticker, the original radio with CB, original sales literature, and a few maintenance manuals. Available but not included with the sale is the original numbers-matching L48.
