The F250 was the last year of the sixth generation F series truck. The success of the F series had carried on more than three decades at this point and still lives on today. The 1979 model changed the circle headlights to square headlights but the rest of the truck was the same. The 1978 and 1979 models had a single piece insert for the grille unlike all other prior models. In 1979 the F series truck became the bestselling vehicle in the world, this was also the first time that ford motor company introduced the slogan " built ford tough." Mechanically, the truck is excellent in all aspects and the recent rebuild 400 CID V8 motor (2800 miles ago). It is optioned with power steering, power brakes, 4 speed manual transmission and 4X4.
