That's what you'll get with this purpose built 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. This car was built to put down some serious ¼ mile times via serious horsepower. It features a 496ci V8 built by MotorTech Racing Engines complete with ceramic coated headers, ported and polished Brodix Pro Topline heads, Dart intake with top to bottom porting, mechanical roller Competition cam with 725 lift, Competition roller rockers, MSD ignition, 2 Holly fuel pumps, electric water pump, billet pulleys, a cool down reservoir, a 250 shot of nitrous, and a Holly fuel pump for the nitrous system. The transmission is a Turbo 400 with a manual valve body, full manual reverse, and a trans brake. The rear end is a 4.30 Dana 60 with Strange axles and a custom drive shaft. It also features a certified roll cage, chassis certification to 8:50, Polished Centerline wheels with Mickey Thompson tires, Autometer gauges, a lift off hood with quick release pins, a 9 gallon fuel cell, and a manual battery shut off. This Monte was built by Motor City Rod Shop and with its 800hp, it is said to make low 9 second passes. It runs extremely strong and the paint is show worthy.
