Product Details

The International Company is no stranger to building things that will last and can take the abuse of hard work and stressing the importance of reliability and performance. The idea of giving the American worker a vehicle that rivaled their farm equipment was a stellar decision from the executives at IHC . Developed and improved upon from the Scout 80's all the way up to the Scout II and Travelall's. The Traveler was extended by 18" in the region between the door and the front of the rear wheel-well. This 1979 Scout II Traveler comes from the great state of California. Always in a dry climate, this Scout underwent a selective restoration about 1 year ago. With over $9,000 in receipts, this Scout has been properly restored and sorted. With a correct glass paint job, this Scout was re-painted in Rare 5907 Mint Green. Interior remains mostly original and very tidy. Equipped with Internationals bullet proof 345 V8, power steering, power breaks, cruise control and ice cold Air Conditioning. Yes, I said ice cold AC. To give this Scout the look it has today it has new Soft Ride 4inch lifted springs, reverse long and beefier shackle kit, ARB style rear bumper by Anything Scout with swing away rear tire and New 16 inch wheels with newer Toyo Open Road 34inch tires. This Minty fresh International comes with it's original owners manual, warranty book, two sets of keys, original radio and still has the original line ticket still stuck inside the glove box door. For emission states, this Scout was just smogged in California February of 2016. With the rising appreciation in the vintage 4X4 market, this should be a sure thing in a Rare Mint green Scout II.
