The FJ Cruiser market and following has escalated significantly over the past 5 years and really shows no sign of slowing as prices continue to bring big money at all of the auctions across the country. A time capsule such as this one is extremely hard to locate and find that have not been modified or pieced back together. This truly original FJ40 is as it was when it rolled out of the new Toyota store in Eugene Oregon in February of 1975 after being produced in December of 1974. Car remained in a climate controlled state and driven sparingly over the next 38 years by only two previous owners. Car retains the dealer installed pinstripes on sides, factory correct bumpers, wheels, windows, jump seats, rear heater and original owner's manuals. First owner logged most of the miles as it was towed behind an RV and received a full engine rebuild in 1995 at the mileage mark of 58,244. Second owner purchased the vehicle in August of 1995 and stored the car almost the entire time since he was transferred overseas and the only got home a few times a year to drive it, and only logged 2,500 miles since his purchase. Vehicle was acquired by us recently where it was treated to a full fluid change and filters as well as fully detailed to bring back the shine on the paint and take care of some minor imperfections. Carburetor was tuned up and gas tank drained and sealed. Four new Coker vintage tires were also mounted onto the original wheels and a new one mounted onto the spare. This FJ Land cruiser remains a rust free example with a lot of originality that you only get once in a collector automobile. With highly modified and cut FJ's swarming the market, this factory correct one will not only get all the looks but will appreciate at a much higher rate throughout the coming years!
