The Ford motor company introduced the Thunderbird in 1955 and continued over the course of eleven-model generation through 2005. It created a market niche that was brand new to the automotive scene and eventually was marketed and known as the personal luxury car. The fourth generation like the car we are offering here was built from 1964-1966. As before it was offered in hardtop, convertible and landau versions. The standard engine was the 390 cubic inch V8 offering 300 HP and was paired to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Only in 1966 was a optional 428 cubic inch V8 producing 345 HP offered for this generation. This wonderful T-bird has so much to offer and you will be hard pressed to find a better one anywhere. This car comes from long-term ownership. The second owner purchased the car in 1967 where it was kept until 1993. The third owner after purchasing went through the entire car piece by piece turning it in to a absolute show piece. Being judged in Dearborn and VTCI international meets where it won Best of Show Driven class in 2003. It runs and drives like new and is ready to be shown and enjoyed.
