THIS. . . is a 2002 Smart Crossblade, finished in black and gray with a red and black interior. It's equipped with a metric instrument cluster, and the odometer shows about 1,528 kilometers, which represents approximately 950 miles. A dash plaque indicates this Crossblade is #1,232 of less than 2,000 reported examples. Equipment includes 16-inch wheels, a front wind deflector, waterproof upholstery, a folding passenger-side seat, drain plugs in the seats and footwells, an AM/FM radio with CD changer, and a 2-speaker sound system. The only modification reported by the seller is paint protection film. Smart unveiled the ForTwo-based Crossblade Concept at the 2001 Geneva auto show and startlingly turned it into a limited-edition production model the following year. Like the design study, the Crossblade had safety bars instead of doors, no roof, and a wind deflector; it weighed a little over 1,600 pounds and looked like nothing else on the road. Power comes from a rear-mounted, 599cc turbocharged 3-cylinder engine, rated at approximately 70 horsepower and 79 lb-ft of torque. Output is directed to the rear wheels through a 6-speed automated-manual transmission.
